Materials for Carbon DLS 3D Printing
Resins
EPX 82
EPX 82 (Epoxy-Based Resin) is a strong, stiff resin made for parts that need to handle stress and keep their shape. It performs like glass-filled nylon and works well in tough environments. This material is great for structural brackets, industrial jigs, and mounting fixtures.
With Carbon DLS 3D printing, you get clean, accurate parts faster and without molds. EPX 82 also resists heat, impact, and wear, making it a good fit for aerospace housings, under-the-hood automotive parts, and heavy-duty machinery components. It helps you build tough parts that last and perform as expected.
EPU 40
EPU 40 (Flexible Polyurethane) is a soft, flexible elastomer that stretches and snaps back like rubber. It’s tough enough to handle repeated bending, pressure, and impact without tearing. This makes it great for parts that need to move or absorb shock over and over again.
Common uses include automotive cable grommets, wearable device pads, and vibration-damping mounts. With strong tear resistance and long-lasting performance, it works well in sports gear, electronics, and industrial tools. You get durable, high-quality parts that perform under pressure, perfect for designs that need flexibility, comfort, and long-term reliability.
FPU 50
FPU 50 is a semi-rigid, fatigue-resistant resin designed for parts that bend without breaking, even after repeated use. It offers excellent toughness and wear resistance, making it ideal for components that need both flexibility and structure.
Common applications include snap-fit joints, living hinges, and enclosures with locking features. You’ll also see it used in medical device housings, automotive cable clips, and consumer electronics cases. FPU 50 works well for both prototypes and end-use parts, helping you create long-lasting, functional components that perform reliably under stress and movement.
RPU 70
RPU 70 (Rigid Polyurethane) is a strong, impact-resistant resin that’s great for parts exposed to stress, friction, or repeated use. It offers a balanced mix of toughness and stiffness, making it ideal for enclosures, load-bearing parts, and mechanical housings.
You’ll commonly find it used in automotive sensor mounts, industrial control unit covers, and rugged electronic device shells. RPU 70 stands up well to wear, abrasion, and rough handling, even in harsh environments. It’s a reliable choice for both prototyping and final production, with no need for extra machining or finishing, just accurate, durable parts straight off the printer.
RPU 130
RPU 130 (High-Impact Rigid Resin) offers excellent impact resistance and heat stability, making it ideal for demanding environments like automotive, aerospace, and industrial equipment. This tough resin performs well under mechanical stress and elevated temperatures, helping you create long-lasting and functional parts.
Typical components include high-temp electrical housings, engine bay mounting brackets, and industrial sensor enclosures. Its balance of strength and thermal performance allows you to print production-quality parts without extra post-processing. Whether you're prototyping or producing end-use components, RPU 130 delivers clean, consistent results that stand up to repeated use and real-world conditions.
SIL 30
SIL 30 (Silicone-Like Resin) is a soft, flexible, and skin-safe resin that mimics the feel and performance of silicone rubber. It’s biocompatible and ISO-certified for direct skin contact, making it perfect for medical and wearable applications. SIL 30 performs well in both dry and humid conditions without losing shape or comfort.
It is often used to produce prosthetic liners, CPAP mask seals, and wrist-mounted health monitors. These parts require comfort, flexibility, and long-term wearability. Carbon DLS 3D printing ensures each part is accurate, clean, and ready for use; no extra coating or finishing is needed.
UMA 90
UMA 90 (General Purpose Resin) is a fast and dependable resin for general-purpose prototyping and low-volume production. It offers smooth surface finish, reliable strength, and precise dimensions, making it easy to test designs early in development. Common high-performance parts include electrical test fixtures, ergonomic tool handles, and sensor housings.
UMA 90 helps speed up product cycles and reduce costs by delivering accurate parts without tooling. It's a great choice when you need quick, functional prototypes that look and feel close to the final product, ideal for early testing, client presentations, or limited production runs.
Instant & Accurate Quotes

We don't use online automated quotation tools, because it is very inaccurate. Online quote platforms rely solely on calculations based on cutting amounts and fixed coefficients, they fail to account for actual processing nuances, such as material deformation after heat treatment, tight tolerance requirements, grinding after heat treatment, etc. Consequently, automated price calculations can lead to inaccuracies, ultimately increasing your costs.
But you can rest assured at DEK!
Our quotations are both cost-effective and accurate because we have a team of professional mechanical engineers who meticulously review each drawing. These engineers boast over 10 years of experience and possess deep expertise in programming, machine operation, post-processing, material properties, and more. Ensure you will get accurate quotes within 6 hours.
