What is 3D Printing?
3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing , is a rapid prototyping technology that uses a digital model file as the basis for constructing an object by printing layer by layer using a bondable material such as powdered metal or plastic.
3D printing is usually realized using digital technology material printers. As the technology continues to mature and the cost is reduced, 3D printing technology began to be widely used in various fields, including mold manufacturing, industrial design, fashion, construction, education, automotive, aerospace, medical industry.
The Process of 3D Printing Parts
- Use 3D modeling software to design a digital model of the part
- Export the STL file as the input file for the printer.
- Use slicing software to convert the STL file into a printer-recognizable G-code, and set the printing parameters.
- Select the appropriate printing material, prepare the machine to start printing
- After printing, carry out post-processing and quality inspection.
- Deliver the product to the customer and put it into practical use.
