What is PP (Polypropylene)?
Polipropilene (PP) is a lightweight, cost-effective, and versatile thermoplastic polymer belonging to the polyolefin group. It is produced by polymerizing propylene monomers derived from petroleum or natural gas. With a chemical formula of (C3H6)n, its chemical structure consists of repeating propylene monomers, resulting in a linear hydrocarbon polymer.
PP has a low density and melting point, as well as good mechanical strength, chemical resistance to acids and bases, and heat resistance.
