Its high-temperature resistance, surpassing 200°C (392°F), is further improved by the addition of glass fibers, enhancing its thermal stability.
The reinforcement with glass fibers not only increases strength but also minimizes dimensional changes in response to temperature variations, ensuring dimensional stability. Furthermore, Ultem retains its excellent electrical insulating properties, even with the incorporation of glass fibers. It is flame resistant and produces low smoke, as well as excellent electrical insulating properties and a high strength-to-weight ratio. We offer this material in film, sheet, and rod forms.
